Ten truths to keep

01You do not rise to your goals. You fall to your habits.
02Be the same man when the film is off.
03Trust is built in drops and lost in buckets.
04Discipline is the love you show yourself when the feeling is gone.
05People bleed for someone who saw them, never for a system.
06The game is won in the cold gym, when nobody is watching.
07Talent gets you in the door. Character keeps you in the room.
08Wealth is what is still standing when the money stops.
09You do not need to see the whole field. Just call the next play.
10Legacy is what you leave living inside somebody else.
A word from Coach Ray

I spent a lifetime keeping score

I spent a lifetime on a sideline thinking the job was winning games. It took me most of it to find out I was wrong. The scoreboard was never the point. The person walking off the field was.

These ten lines are the ones I came back to most. Not theory. Not noise. Just things that turned out to be true, on the field and long after the lights went out.

Read them slow. Keep the ones that land. Come back to them on the hard days. Those are the days they were written for.
